Cosmic Scale — Support

The pulsar simulation is free. Each other simulation opens for good after one short video. The Beyond pack and Ultra graphics open for 24 hours after a video. Cosmic Scale Pro opens everything at once and removes every ad. If no video can be shown (for example, you are offline), the simulation opens just that once.

Pro stays with your Apple Account, and the app turns it on by itself when you open it signed in to the same account. If it does not, open Settings (the gear) → Go Pro → Restore purchases.

On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Cosmic Scale Pro. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged again. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid period.

Open Settings (the gear) → Graphics quality and choose Battery saver or Balanced. The app also offers this by itself when the phone gets hot. Turning off “Rotate objects” helps too.

Zoom in on Earth as far as the 3D view or Compare goes and keep zooming: the app continues in Apple Maps satellite imagery over the same spot. Zoom back out to return. It needs an internet connection; Apple Maps receives your device's IP address and the imagery request, nothing else (see the Privacy Policy).

The scale, comparison, 3D views and simulations work offline. Photographs, space sounds and Earth's satellite view are loaded from the internet when you open them.

Sizes come from NASA/JPL fact sheets and published measurements. Supergiant stars and the largest galaxies are uncertain by tens of percent; for black holes the size shown is the event horizon. Nebulae, galaxies and superclusters are artistic renderings drawn at true size.

Settings (the gear) → Language. Cosmic Scale speaks 15 languages, including right-to-left Arabic.
