Orrery: 3D Solar System

Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

Orrery shows the solar system as it really is, drawn on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no tracking. This policy explains the only data the app touches and who else can see it.

What the developer collects

Nothing. The developer operates no servers and receives no data from the app. It does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

What stays on your device

Your settings — language, time speed, graphics quality and the like — and whether Orrery Pro is unlocked are kept on your iPhone, so the app opens the way you left it. They are included in your device's own backup if you use one, and are deleted when you delete the app.

What the app downloads

To show photographs, recordings and surface maps, Orrery downloads public files from NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (for example images.nasa.gov and trek.nasa.gov). These requests carry nothing about you beyond what any web request does — your device's IP address, seen by the server that answers. The files are kept on your device so they need not be fetched again.

Purchases

Orrery Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; the developer never sees your payment details or your Apple Account. The app asks the App Store only whether Pro is unlocked. Apple's own privacy policy covers the purchase: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Sharing

Sharing a still uses the system share sheet, and the image goes only where you send it.

Children

Orrery collects no information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date above.
