Black Hole Simulator: TON 618
Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
Black Hole Simulator: TON 618 (formerly Gargantua: Black Hole 3D) is a real-time black hole simulator for iPhone and Android. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no subscription. This policy explains the only data the app touches and who else can see it. It applies to both the App Store and the Google Play versions.
What the developer collects
Nothing. The developer operates no servers and receives no data from the app. Your settings — graphics quality, exposure, music volume, and the rest — are stored on your device. They are included in your device's own backup if you use one (iCloud or Google), exactly like other apps' settings, and are otherwise deleted when you delete the app.
Advertising
The app shows occasional full-screen ads when you change the picture style or the graphics quality in Settings, and an optional short video when you choose to unlock the Ultra quality. These ads are delivered by Google AdMob. No ads load until you open Settings. To serve and measure them, AdMob may collect:
- advertising and device identifiers,
- coarse location inferred from your IP address,
- whether an ad was shown, viewed or tapped,
- diagnostic and crash information about the ad software.
This data goes to Google, not to the developer. It is sent encrypted. Google's handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms and the AdMob policies.
Your choices
- Tracking on iPhone. On first opening Settings, iOS asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Decline and you still get ads — they are simply not personalised. You can change the answer at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Advertising ID on Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads (on some devices, Settings › Google › Ads). With it deleted you still get ads — they are simply not personalised.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). A Google-certified consent form appears the first time you open Settings. You can reopen it any time from Settings › Made with curiosity › Privacy & ad choices.
- Deleting everything. Deleting the app removes every setting it stored on the device. The developer holds nothing to delete, because nothing was sent to the developer.
Permissions
Apart from the iPhone tracking prompt above, the app asks for no permissions: no camera, microphone, contacts, photos or precise location. On Android it uses internet access (to load ads) and the advertising ID. Tilt parallax reads the motion sensor on the device; that reading never leaves it. Sharing a still uses the system share sheet, and the image goes only where you send it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date above.
